# How to create Geofence from the app?

## Creating and Setting Up Geofencing

### Overview

Geofencing allows you to monitor a specific circular area on the map. This guide will walk you through the process of creating a geofence and setting up related notifications.

### Creating a Geofence Area

1. Navigate to the Geofencing section and select "Create Geofencing Area"
2. Set up the location:
   * Enter the address for the geofence area
   * The map will automatically update to show the specified location
3. Define the geofence circle:
   * Drag the center marker to your desired location
   * Use the radius marker to adjust the size of the geofence circle
   * The circle will dynamically update as you adjust the radius
4. Save your geofence:
   * Click the "Submit" button to begin monitoring the defined area

### Setting Up Notifications

To receive alerts for your geofence, you'll need to configure two additional settings:

#### Enable Geofencing Alerts

1. Go to Change Settings > Alert Settings
2. Locate and enable the Geofencing alert option

#### Configure Contact Information

1. Navigate to Settings
2. Select either:
   * Add Email - to receive email notifications
   * Add SMS - to receive text message alerts

### Important Notes

* Ensure both alert settings and contact information are properly configured to receive notifications
* You can modify the geofence area at any time by repeating the creation process
* The system will begin monitoring the area immediately after submission
