# How to View / Add / Edit / Delete subgroup from the app?

## Managing Subgroups in Your GPS Tracking App

### Viewing Subgroups

To view existing subgroups and their vehicles:

1. Navigate to Settings
2. Select "Add/Edit Subgroup"
3. View the list of groups and their associated vehicles
4. Use the "Subgroups" button at the bottom of the page to filter vehicles by specific groups

*Note: The subgroups feature helps you organize and view vehicles in specific categories for easier management.*

### Adding a New Subgroup

To create a new subgroup and assign vehicles:

1. Navigate to Settings
2. Select "View/Edit Subgroup"
3. Click on the "Add Subgroup" radio button
4. Enter the new group name when prompted
5. Select vehicles to include from the available list

*Important: Each vehicle can only belong to one subgroup at a time.*

### Editing a Subgroup

To modify an existing subgroup:

1. Navigate to Settings
2. Select "View/Edit Subgroup"
3. Click on the "Edit Subgroup" radio button
4. Select the group name you wish to edit
5. Modify vehicle assignments:
   * Assign new vehicles to the group
   * Remove vehicles from the group

*Note: Changes to subgroup assignments take effect immediately.*

### Deleting a Subgroup

To remove a subgroup:

1. Navigate to Settings
2. Select "View/Edit Subgroup"
3. Click on the "Delete Subgroup" radio button
4. Select the group you wish to delete
5. Confirm deletion when prompted

### Important Notes

* Vehicle Assignment: A vehicle can only be assigned to one subgroup at a time
* Filtering: Use subgroups to easily filter and view specific sets of vehicles
* Organization: Subgroups help manage large fleets by categorizing vehicles logically
* Changes: All subgroup modifications are applied immediately in the system

### Best Practices

* Create meaningful subgroup names for easy identification
* Regularly review and update subgroup assignments
* Remove unused subgroups to maintain system organization
* Back up important subgroup configurations
